The Siemens 6MD7160-0AD40-3AA0 is a dongle for the SICAM MCP communication module. It is used to connect SICAM RTU devices, SICAM SC devices (version 4.0 and higher), 

and SICAM ERTU devices to a central control system. The dongle supports a variety of communication protocols, including IEC 60870-5-101, IEC 60870-5-104, DNP 3.0, and SINAUT 8-FW.
