The TU841is a module termination unit(MTU) for redundant
configuration of OpticalModuleBus ModemTB840/TB840A,for use
with non-redundantI/O.
TheMTU is a passive unit having connections for power supply, a
single electricalModuleBus,two TB840/TB840A and a rotary switch
forcluster address (1to 7) setting.
Four mechanical keys,two for each position, are used to configured
theMTU for the righttypes of modules. Each key has six positions,
which gives a total number of 36 differentconfigurations. The
configurations can be changedwith a screwdriver.
Termination Unit TU840 connects TB840/TB840A to redundantI/O.
Termination Unit TU841connects TB840/TB840A to non-redundant
I/O.
